Hacker: Subculture in the Cyberworld [2]

Douglas Thomas explained that hacker more precise to mentioned as 'subculture', the culture that bonded with two sides, parental culture, and at the same time characterized to against the parental culture. subculture identified with their unstableness, constant changes in meaning and how the meaning created.

Goldstein has special closeness with hacker world, by his space in 2600. whatever Goldstein did in his researches, can be differed from other observers who only watch hacker society and their lifestyle via medias--movies, or even news reports. just as Douglas Thomas (2002: 141) have said before, that much understandings about hacker world via medias, with the images by the opinions, are much distorted.
so, good approach in research about hacker community is to reach special closeness with the community or hackers themself, authoritative and true conception about personals or society only can be reach by a touch of involvement. and once more, hackers are artists, its not easy to get well communicate with artist, you have to find their true sense of art.
